Suttle Lake has always been such a beautiful and peaceful place to be. Long before it became the lodge and resort it is today me and my family stayed in our travel trailer there and helped the manager, Rich Mathis, at that time, with the resort. This was back in 1994 and what is the building that is down by the water at the marina was all there was besides the 3 older cabins. On August 6, 1994, my husband and I had our wedding right there on the docks. As a matter of fact, my husband assisted in the building of the docks in front of the marina. It was magical and wonderful. It has always been a very special place for our family. We had the opportunity to stay almost an entire year through all four seasons. To watch the lake freeze over in the Winter and thaw in the Spring was neat. The river otter, the eagles, the osprey, the elk….gosh it was a wonderful place. I was so surprised when I came back through for a visit in 2006 and saw this huge lodge sitting there, but I would have to say the lodge is beautiful and so are the grounds. The new owners have done a great job. I hope to be able to come through someday and stay in the new accomadations and remember about the old days and the wonderful times that were had there.

The staff of the resort and spa made what was going to be a cold night of camping (at a nearby campsite) into a warm cabin experience and I got a massage to boot. Thanks for making the experience memoriable and enjoyable.

I had the pleasure of meeting Rhonda, the owner of the resort, in Oklahoma City this week. If the Lodge is anything as nice as her than I would love to bring my family for a visit. This place looks beautiful!

Enjoyed the great weather and comfortable lodges. What a great location. Can’t wait to come back during the winter months to enjoy the snow covered surroundings. Thanks for the great retreat.
